The Nakshatra Sutra: (Taittiriya Brahmana of the Yajur Veda)

First nine nakshatras

The nakshatra sutra from the Yajur veda is the most authentic description of the nakshatras.

Its pregnant with ideas and concepts.

The first part points at the adidevatha or controller of the nakshatra which is synonymous with its characteristics and role

The second part names the nakshatra

The third part elucidates the nakshatras function

The fourth part indicates the nakshatras ultimate role and effect

The nakshatra also points to its higher and grosser function with the words parastat and avastat
